A Regenerative Farm Gets A Boost to Bring You Healthy Meat -- With Charity Epperson of Wild Things Ranch

A Regenerative Farm Gets A Boost to Bring You Healthy Meat -- With Charity Epperson of Wild Things Ranch

It’s not uncommon that farmers are hit with financial issues constantly. Farming isn’t cheap and requires a lot of grit to push through the uncertainty that comes with farming. What non-farmers might not realize is that something as seemingly arbitrary as improper fencing can make or break a farm. This was the case for our guest on today’s episode, and she is here to tell her story!

Rancher Charity Epperson from Wild Things Ranch in Sonoma County, California, raises specialty sheep, lamb, and pigs, where the health and wellness of her animals are of highest priority, as well as maintaining the land by using regenerative processes. Charity, being involved in her farming community, as well as being known as a conscientious rancher, was anonymously nominated for the For Farmers grant when she was facing fencing issues and needed an extra financial boost.

Charity lets us in on her story of her experience starting a ranch, essentially from scratch. This is no easy feat, and despite numerous inevitable obstacles, Charity has remained optimistic, emerging as a successful rancher.

So tune in to hear the ups and downs of ranching and how Charity pushed through every obstacle in her way, to provide high-quality products to her customers while keeping her animals happy and healthy.
